As 2026 continues to progress, Kinetic Development Group is preparing for the next phase of growth within its optic mount product category.

Since first entering the market with the SideLok series, which remains the company's flagship optic mounting platform, KDG has continued to evaluate opportunities to expand its offerings while maintaining the engineering discipline that defines its products.

Over the past several months, the company has been working closely with dealers and end users to better understand how mounting solutions are being used across modern rifle platforms. These insights have helped guide KDG's internal development efforts as the company explores new ways to enhance flexibility and functionality for shooters.

According to company leadership, those development efforts have now progressed significantly, bringing KDG closer to potentially introducing a new optic mount solution designed to complement its existing SideLok lineup.

"SideLok established our foundation in the optic mount category," said Chris Bardugone, Director of Sales and Marketing at KDG. "As we look ahead, we see opportunities to expand on that foundation and provide shooters with even more adaptability in how they configure their rifles."

While KDG is not making a formal product announcement at this time, the company confirms that work continues on a future optic mount offering currently undergoing final evaluation and testing.
